MATIMBA DAY CARE
Quality of education in rural areas remains an unresolved challenge for many, and the year 2017 brought about inspiration to both Daniela & Alberto to open MATIMBA DAY CARE.
This is a non-profit organisation, bridging the gap and providing a preschool educational approach based on playing, singing, practical activities such as drawing, and social interaction as part of the transition from home to school for these future country leaders.
Our aim is to Improve the educational outcomes of economically disadvantaged children, giving each child access to quality education, food, clothing and most importantly, a safe haven to grow. We have successfully completed and built two homes with a playground area that the children find simply irresistible.

It is rewarding for us to be able to contribute to society, working on a common goal – to educate and uplift the members of this community and to invest in future generations.
A Culture tour can be booked with Matimba Bush Lodge where the guests will visit Matimba Day Care and interact with the children.
Help during Covid-19
Matimba Bush Lodge with the help of sponsorship delivered 60 food parcels during lockdown Level 5 in South Africa to households who had no income.
Re-building the Day Care
Thanks to the generous help of sponsors and guests, Matimba Day Care had a total face-lift and the kids are having so much fun.
