DIRECTIONS FROM JOHANNESBURG:

Within 1 hour you can reach the AIRPORT of Phalaborwa by plane, coming from the Johannesburg International Airport.

Coming by car you can either choose the N1 ( Pretoria-Polokwane) continuing on the R71 passing through Tzaneen  and Gravelotte, or you follow the N12 and N4 up to Belfast, continuing to Lydenburg   ( Mashishing), Hoedspruit. The drive will take you app. 6 hours.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION

​

Upon entering Phalaborwa o the R71, go straight at the first intersection and straight at the traffic lights until you reach a next intersection. The Total garage and Spar Supermarket will be on your right. Turn right into Copper Road. Keep going straight until the 2nd intersection where you turn left to Hans Merensky Golf Estate.

Enter the Hans Merensky Estate. At the small traffic circle turn right towards the golf parking. Keep going straight past the ‘No Entry’ sign. Report at the gate guards. Go straight on the gravel road until you see signs for house 401-420. Turn left here. Follow this road until you see sign 415, turn right and arrive at Matimba Bush Lodge.
